I have been a big fan of DiCaprio for a long time and recently have been delighted to see him become such a staple of big blockbusters!
Below are my 3 favourite performances by him in descending order.
At 3 Frank Wheeler in Revolutionary Road.
Leo cleverly plays this business man torn between chasing his dreams and accepting adulthood. His frustration and screaming are guaranteed to give you shivers.
At 2 Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. 
DiCaprio’s portrayal of this tormented star crossed lover is nothing short of superb. His heartbreak at loosing his best-friend and his love are stunning. I defy you not to sit open -mouther in awe of his outstanding performance.
And finally at number 1 Tobias Wolf in This Boy’s Life
A young Leonardo is paired up with Hollywood royalty as he act’s alongside Mr Robert De Nrio. Even at such a yuong age DiCaprio shows why he is to become one of Hollywoods best actors, holding his own with a heavyweight such as De Niro so early on in his career. This story or a 50’s teenager locked into a life of misery by his free-wheeling mother whose endless trail of boyfriends and moving leaves him stranded in a nowhere town with an abusive bully boy father. Tobias sets about a plan of escape, willing to take desperate measures to get out of Concrete.
