Ben Affleck cast as new Batman!
0Ben Affleck has been announced by Warner Bros as their new Batman to star alongside Henry Cavill in the unnamed ‘Batman vs Superman’ film directed by Zack Snyder.
Warner Bros President Greg Silverman quoted in a statement:
“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular super heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill and then some,”
While we’re massive Argo fans here at Movie Emporium, we remain a little sceptical after the deathly serious portrayal we’ve become accustomed to (from Christian Bale) and hope that Ben avoids the pitfalls of the suave/comical take encountered by his good friend George Clooney in 1997′s truly awful Batman & Robin (averages 3.6 on IMDB).
Will there be room for a beard under that cowl? – We hope so!
The Inbetweeners Movie – Official sequel announced!
0The Official Inbetweeners Facebook has just confirmed the announcement of a sequel with this post:
Dearest Facebook fwends – Beebedy beep beep – time for an Inbetweeners sequel update. As promised, you are now the first to know ‘officially’ that there’s a new Inbetweeners movie coming your way next Summer. We can’t tell you anything else right at this minute other than that Jay, Will, Simon and Neil are back and it’s DEFINITELY happening. As soon as there’s more info, we’ll post it here like a sort of online golden easel outside Buckingham Palace. We’re all very excited about working together and the film should hit cinemas early August 2014.
Thanks for the continued support, we honestly wouldn’t be doing this if we didn’t feel the amazing support from you guys. We couldn’t just leave it with the last words of The Inbetweeners being ‘Oooh, I think I’ve shit myself’!
Great news for us fans who’ll get to see the fab four at University? On a gap year? Another holiday?
Let us know what you think the next scenario will be…
We’ll be back…
0You may have noticed things have been a little quiet around Movie Emporium lately.
While we’ve still be enjoying trips to silverscreen that we love so much we’ve also been very busy with a lot of other stuff too.
It was 3 years and 2 days ago that this site (in an earlier form) was born and we’ve posted countless trailers, seen 100′s of movies and marvelled over many a poster but right now we’re going to have to just do this silently.
This is not goodbye, we’ll still be posting odd bits and pieces when we can, but it’s going to be on a much quieter scale while we spend some much needed time marvelling at the world.
To quote the terminator “I’ll be back…” or should that be we?
