Red Dawn set for reboot
Continuing the trend of remaking classic films, 2012’s Red Dawn is a reboot of the 1984 classic war film of the same name. Telling the story of a group of young people defending their hometown from a North Korean invasion, Red Dawn promises to have you on the edge of your seat from the very first minute to the moment the credits roll.
Jed Eckert (Hemsworth) is a US Marine home on leave. When he awakens to find North Korean forces parachuting into his home town of Spokane, Washington, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Together with his father Tom (Cullen) and brother Matt (Peck), they join forces with Robert Morris (Hutcherson), Daryl Jenkins (Cruise), and Pete (Lenz) and form a guerrilla force, calling themselves The Wolverines. The stage is set for an electrifying battle as they fight to protect one another and the townspeople whilst liberating their town and regaining their freedom.
Red Dawn serves as the perfect showcase for both current Hollywood favourite Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers) and the rest of the up and coming cast; Josh Peck (The Wackness), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Adrianne Palicki (Supernatural), Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Posession).
Red Dawn is due for release in the UK on March 15th 2013.
